Hillary Hawkins, Casting Director
HILLARY HAWKINS (former Host of Nick Jr. & Radio Disney) is honored to be Casting Director for the award winning feature film “Rhapsody In Justice”. She is also actress/screenwriter/producer/casting director of “Stuck For A Reason” (aired on ABC, CBS, NBC & FOX as a part of “African American Short Films”) & “A Pill For Two” (nominated for 7 awards, winner Best Actress Award). In addition, Hillary is playwright/lyricist/composer/casting director of the award winning “Jaded The Musical” and Casting Director for the Paper to Pen Production “Futurology The Musical.”
Prior to becoming a Casting Director, Hawkins enjoyed a highly successful career as a child actor. Hillary Hawkins is well-known for her work on Nickelodeon: singing voice of Vanessa on Nickelodeon’s “Gullah Gullah Island”, Kate on Nickelodeon’s “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” & she was on TV everyday introducing shows such as “Dora the Explorer” & “Bob The Builder” as Robyn, Host of Nick Jr. She also was Keisha on “New York Undercover.”
In addition to all of her on-camera experience, Hillary is a seasoned voice actor. The 3X Voice Arts Awards nominated voice actress has narrated over 100 audiobooks available on Audible.com including “Oprah”, “Your Word Is Your Wand” & several Books of the Bible. This ADR Voice Actor has worked on well-known TV shows such as Marvel’s “Luke Cage”, “Black Lightning” & “The Chi.” She also worked as an ADR Celebrity Voice Match for Tyler Perry’s “Acrimony” and is the voice of Amal in Genndy Tartakovsky’s “Primal” (Cartoon Network Studios.)
Hillary Hawkins' voice can be heard in hundreds of commercials. AT&T, Verizon, McDonald's, Lego, Disney, American Red Cross, World Health Organization, World Bank & UNICEF are just a few clients that have hired Hillary for her voice. She also can be seen in a Star Wars Target Commercial performing martial arts. Hillary has her Black Belt in Karate!
Beyond the arts, Hawkins worked in Child Protective Services as a Bilingual Family Service Specialist for the State of New Jersey and as a Bilingual Interviewer for a US Department of Justice funded study for Safe Horizon.
Hawkins holds a Dual BA in Spanish & Creative Writing achieved from Smith College in just 3 years on the Dean’s List while working as Radio Personality for WEIB 106.3 Smooth Fm and completed graduate coursework in Psychology and Diplomacy & International Relations at Seton Hall University.
